In-Office Procedures

Modern OB-GYN provides patients with opportunity to schedule certain surgical procedures in our office.  These procedures are performed by our highly qualified physicians with the use of anesthesia administered by board certified anesthesiologists. Having your procedure done in the office provides the advantage of decreased anxiety and cost compared to hospital-based procedures in a less stressed, convenient setting. Of course, if you would prefer to have your procedure done in the hospital, or are not a candidate for an office procedure, we are happy to offer that option as well.

ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION (NOVASURE AND MINERVA)

Endometrial ablation is a treatment for a condition called menorrhagia. Menorrhagia is a condition associated with heavy menstrual bleeding, a very common problem for women resulting in anemia and fatigue. For women who have completed childbearing, this can be treated with a simple office procedure called endometrial ablation. This procedure takes just a few minutes and is associated with a success rate of over 90%.

COLPOSCOPY

COLPOSCOPY

Colposcopy is a way of looking at the cervix through a special magnifying device called a colposcope.  It shines a light into the vagina and onto the cervix.  A colposcope can enlarge the normal view.  The exam allows the doctor to find problems that cannot be seen by the eye alone.
